1982
Where It All Began
Sheila Hyde began trading as a sole trader in 1982, supplying flavours and packaging to the food industry instigated and supported by her husband Russell Hyde. A dream was born.

1995
The Next Generation
Son Brandon joined the business in 1995, bringing fresh energy and commitment to the growing family operation.

1997
Rush Trading & Manufacturing Established
Rush Trading & Manufacturing was formally established as a Closed Corporation in 1997. That same year Brandon formed Level Products cc, taking on the manufacturing side and producing paper baking cups and paper products for the baking and food industry.

1998
Michelle Joins the Team
Daughter Michelle joined the family business in 1998 and has been an integral part of Carmen Products ever since, now serving as our dedicated Accounts Manager for over 28 years.

2006
Kevin Joins as General Manager
Son-in-law Kevin joined the Carmen family in 2006 and now serves as General Manager, bringing strong leadership and further strengthening the family foundation that Carmen Products is built on.

Today
Proudly South African. Still Family.
Over 40 years later Carmen Products remains a proudly South African family business, manufacturing premium quality baking cups and paper products from our own factory, to the strictest HACCP and ISO 22000 standards. The dream Sheila and Russell started in 1982 is still going strong.
